Guest guest
Actually, this practice of folding or rolling the tongue back is called "Khechari Mudra." It acts to stimulate pressure points in the back of the throat, massage glands and thereby balance hormones. In combination with ujjayi breath, it stimulates prana and awakens kundalini. It's also really handy for women in labor, when performed between contractions it preserves vitality and stimulates internal healing. There are a lot more esoteric aspects of this particular mudra, but either way, it's an interesting practice. boredcthis <no_reply> wrote: Putting the tip of your tongue all the way back to the back of the soft palate is not correct, as far as I've ever heard. Perhaps they meant to gently touch the back of the hard palate, which I have heard said somwhere. ashtanga yoga, "Ashley" <brigantia_diwan@h...> wrote: > I recently started studying Ashtanga.
