Guest guest
Hi all, I've practiced Ashtanga for about 2 years now. I've always had wrist pain whilst practicing but just recently found out I have arthritis in both wrists...I'm only 25. I was just wondering did anyone ever come across someone with a similar problem and how did they tackle it. thanks in advance Ciara
Guest guest
Ciara, I've been practicing Astanga for 5 years. I had a broken wrist 6 years ago and can relate to wrist pain. About 4 months ago started to get clicking again in my left wrist (one which was broken) as well as pain again. My regular instructor did not comment on what I was doing wrong. My 1st teacher during a private lesson which I was giving her, told me that I was not bending my elbows fully while jumping back (good observation). I have been bending my elbows fully for the past 1.5 months and the pain is gone. If I had bad Arthritis would not jump back at all, if it was bothering me.
