Ashtanga Yoga Workshop with Dominic Corigliano 12-14 November.

Dominic Corigliano will be visiting Astangasali from 12-14 November

for a weekend workshop. He is a teacher of rare breadth and depth of

experience since having started Ashtanga Yoga with Pattabhi Jois in

the early 1980s. This long continuous period of study under Guruji

has provided him with unique insights into the Ashtanga method.

Dom's varied interests and eventful life have also helped develop a

unique and balanced philosophy and wisdom which he generously shares

with his students. I strongly encourage those of you who are keen on

experiencing Ashtanga from a uniquely different perspective to

attend this workshop.

The schedule for the workshop is as follows:

Friday

6pm-8pm: Led class

Saturday

9am-11am: Mysore style

11.30am-1.30pm: Lecture and discussion. Possible topics include:

Alignment and precise Vinyasa count, details on postures you find

difficult.…exploring the edge of asana...the breath and

subconscious states...

Sunday

9am-11am: Mysore style

11.30am-1.30pm: Details on Ashtanga Vinyasa while watching Sharath

Rangaswamy's new and yet unreleased first series video which Dom

has produced.

The cost of the entire workshop is 130 eur. We will only be taking

in 20 people so please decide early. All levels of practitioners are

welcome. To secure your place, the entire workshop fee has to be

paid in cash upfront. To do this, simply come over to Astangasali

(Kolmas linja 28, Kallio) from Monday to Friday 4pm to 6pm or Sunday

10am to 12pm. For those of you who are not from Helsinki and are

keen on attending, please email me for an alternative

booking/payment method: markinkallio. Please note that

there are no provisions for partial payment. The workshop will be

conducted entirely in English but if necessary a translator will be

present during the lecture/discussion sessions.
