R: ashtanga yoga New to Ashtanga - Gaze at nose

HI

 

No questions are silly. Only the answers are silly - but I will try to answer

your question.

 

When they say that the dristi is nose - that means that you have to focus on the

tip of your nose - and you are right in the beginning it seems strange and you

feel you are crossing you eyes. But try little by little and you will find out

that it is quite easy and help you in your practise.

ashtanga yoga New to Ashtanga - Gaze at nose

 

 

 

 

I am new to Ashtanga and am starting out in my home with no teacher

for quidance. When they say to gaze at the tip of your nose I feel

like I am crossing my eyes and my vision is blurred. Do they mean to

stare in the direction of the tip of your nose or what. I really

don't understand what I am supposed to be doing? Sorry this is a

silly question but I hope someone can help me out. Thanks.
