ashtanga yoga lady's holiday - question for women practitioners

Hello,

 

Not a silly question at all as far as I am concerned.

A very interesting one. I am in sync with the new

moon for ovulation and menstruate with the full moon.

The amazing thing about this is that I have a moon

calender and my menstruation always happens on the

actual day of the full moon.

 

I have been practiciing yoga for over 20 years but

always had a very irregular cycle and suffered from

endometriosis quite badly. I made the conversion to

astanga yoga three years ago and my cycle became

regular and in tune with the moon phases within a year

of this. Not sure if this is because I have finally

found my true cycle or if it generally happens to

women when they undertake an integrated practice.

 

I LOVE astanga yoga for so many reasons and this is

just one of them.
