Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am looking for a place to practice ashtanga yoga in India. The workshops in Mysore are too expensive for me. Can anyone reccommend other places in India where I can practice ashtanga for a month in February? My budget is limmited... Thank you for your help! Guest guest
Have a look at www.yogagoa.com for details of Purple Valley Drop-In Centre and Retreat (two separate locations)in Goa. There is also some Ashtanga in Auroville, and Kerala, and, of course, Mysore. But at Purple Valley we have mainly Western style classes. The Drop-In Centre is the cheapest option. Guest guest
you can also study with Sharath, Pattabhi Jois' grandson, also in Mysore, and this is cheaper I hear. then you can still go to Pattabhi Jois' daily talks for free. also, i've heard about other teachers in Mysore, including a BNS Iyengar. Recently I heard good things about an Ashtanga teacher in Northern India, named Vijay in Mcleod Gang. Finally Pattabhi Jois is coming to the states in April and May of next year. Depending where you live, you might be able to study with him nearby, one week is probably around 200. Good luck. ashtanga yoga, "maya" <mayakravitz2> wrote: > > > Hi everyone, > > I am looking for a place to practice ashtanga yoga in India.
