Guest guest
For those of you in Mysore or coming here soon, the weekly "Sangha for Ashtangis and Anybody Else" will be held every Sunday at 4pm, starting this Sunday (January 16). Sangha (or "sangam") is Sanskrit for "community" or "meeting." In this case, it means a weekly gathering where we do seated meditation, walking meditation (indoors), a short reading from a spiritual text, and a respectful discussion of anything. It lasts for an hour and a half, and will be followed by a light vegetarian meal (by the famed Rajesh) for anyone interested. There are no "leaders." Just a rotating "ring-reader" who rings the bell and does a reading of his/her choice. The Sangha will be held at our house in Brindavan Extension (across KRS Road from Gokulum, orange and white house, 4 houses down from Olaf & Nina's/Enzo's), Number 18, 10th Main, 1st Stage. Call me at 9880-016-441 for directions or other details. All are welcome! (For anybody worried that this might be a forbidden and dangerous pranayama class, or something like the Dead Poets Society, it is none of the above. Sharath read this notice in advance, and said "this is good.") Russell
Guest guest
Would love to go Russell.....actually I've never been to Mysore but have heard amazing things about it. Is there a better time of the year to visit or all year round?
