Hi James

I know Kino personally because I practiced from time to time at Yoga Grove in

Miami when I lived in Florida. She practiced and taught there. She is an

authorized travelling teacher. Besides being a teacher, she is a PHd candidate

for of nutrition, so she's an expert on nutrition for yogis. She is young and

the other teachers you mention are senior teachers. I've attended workshops with

David Williams but not with Richard Freeman. There is a difference in style

between all of these teachers. In any case, Kino exudes a beauty that radiates

from within. Her own practice is graceful. She is blessed with incredible

flexibility. During a workshop with Lino Miele, she was able to demonstrate

Pashimottanasana E, which is not described in any book, and involves incredible

flexibility. I'm not sure, but I think it's something like getting your elbows

to the top of your feet. I would probably gush about how wonderful she is and

she may be reading this and don't want to embarrass her. I owe my good eating

habits to a training of hers that I attended. I read several books she

recommended.

Kino MacGregor in Chicago

Has anyone ever taken a workshop with Kino MacGregor? If so how was

she? Also, did she talk about Ashtanga Awareness? Was there anything

special about her approach to Ashtanga versus any other

certified/authorized teacher? I ask because she is having a workshop

in Chicago on the weekend of 4/10/2005. I am debating between doing

one day or going two days with her. Money is kind of an issue because

I want to attend workshops with David Williams and Richard Freeman who

are also coming to Chicago later in the year, and I definitely want to

attend a whole weekend workshop with those guys. I basically want to

know if Kino is worth the extra money for a second day?

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply Auturo and anyone else who replied to my query. This

is the type of information I was looking for. I have heard nothing but

positive things about Kino and I will attend her whole weekend workshop.

Again thank you Auturo and everyone else who replied.
