Guest guest Posted February 22, 2005 Report Share Posted February 22, 2005 Hi, I'm new to site and I was just wondering if anyone has any opinions on the commercialization of Ashtanga Yoga. The reason why I ask is because it seems very difficult to get to see a good teacher regularly without having to fork out hundreds of bucks. I mostly do self practice at home by myself but would like to go and see a good teacher to talk about my practice and observations I have made. I've thought of going on some of the retreats with Danny Paradise, David Swenson etc, but they can cost anything from $700 per week per person to $2000 per week. And that's without flights. It seems like if you want to talk to anyone you have to pay a ton of bucks up-front. Whatever happened to Aparigraha?
