Guest guest
Anyone think its a good idea/ok to take a protein shake straight after a practice? I remember from my days of working out in the Gym (a distant memory!), that a protein shake used to do wonders for my muscles (recovery, strength, build). Just wondering if it would be appropriate for an Astanga practice? I tend to be quite strong and physical with my practice, and I've been getting a little sore toward the end of the week + I'm thinking that it may assist with the strengthening of my core muscles. But I don't want to hinder any of my flexibility gains (taken a lot of work/time to get to where I am now) Any views? I think resting would be the best way to recover and with time your body should adapt. If you feel benefits from this drink for what ever reason I'd say do it.
