Guest guest
Ro- I have the same thing! Sometimes I have to stop to blow my nose, or spit out phlehm. Then-especially with the spine-twisting asanas, have to burp. It feels like my body is just digesting and clearing out the system. I think it's a "good" sign because I feel much more çlean' afterwards. but with the burping- it happens more on days when I've have caffeine, or a little too much to eat. Any insights you have into not burping so much-please let me know! Cheers, jan (SF, CA)
Guest guest
Thanks, Jan. I have tried drinking room temperature water before class rather than cold. That seems to help a little. You're probably right that it's a good sign, anyway : ) Cheers, Ro
Guest guest
Running nose - The body heat generated by the practice turbine melts the dried up phelgm in the chest and causes the river flow. Obviously, this is desirable. Burp vs. Fart - Eating 3-4 hours before practice can lead to gaseous bursts. One can escape the fart embarassment by appplying the Mula Bandha (root lock;) Gayathri.
