Guest guest
there's no pain. it seems to be a combination of simple coordination - just being unable to make my body do what i want it to - and perhaps strength or energy. although, i don't think it's the second, bc this has been a bit consistent over a couple of weeks now. i have gone back to getting assistance during the drop backs which does seem to have helped with my awareness of how to get back up. i'm hoping in a week or so, i'll be able to do it on my own again. - ashtanga yoga Monday, March 28, 2005 11:02 PM ashtanga yoga drop backs and standing up from drop backs I recently was just able to do dropbacks (& coming back up) too. When you say you can no longer do this suddenly, what is causing the problem (i.e. is it pain or finding you just can't bend any further, etc.?) If it's pain, maybe there's something else going on, not just this particular pose. I know when I was practicing drop-backs, I started out using the wall on my knees and then gradually worked up to standing with the wall and then not needing the wall at all. Maybe going back to one of the preparatory stages for awhile is appropriate until you're finding the full pose again--? Just some thoughts--hope it helps!
