When you say you can no longer do this suddenly, what is causing the problem (i.e. is it pain or finding you just can't bend any further, etc.?) If it's pain, maybe there's something else going on, not just this particular pose. I know when I was practicing drop-backs, I started out using the wall on my knees and then gradually worked up to standing with the wall and then not needing the wall at all. Maybe going back to one of the preparatory stages for awhile is appropriate until you're finding the full pose again--? Just some thoughts--hope it helps!
