Guest guest
Hello All, Has anyone with multiple teachers had to deal with such situations? One teacher feeling inferior/jealous over another teacher if you attend more classes of one versus another. How did you handle such a delicate situation? Any help would be much appreciated. If your response is "don't care about it" or "ignore it", please do not respond to my question. Gracias. Gayathri. Guest guest
Hi Gayathri That is a shame that you are having such an experience. If these teachers are yogis/yoginis then hopefully they have found their true selves. Yoga is about finding who you really are. Ask them in they know their yamas & niyamas. Those are the first two of eight limbs of yoga. There are five sub-limbs. See below: YAMA is conduct toward others, moral observances or social discipline, including: AHIMSA: Non-violence or non-harming SATYA: Truthfulness ASTEYA: Non-stealing/non-covetousness BRAHMACHARYA: Chastity/moderation in sex/control of sexual energy APARIGRAHA: Greedlessness NIYAMA is conduct toward self, individual discipline or restraints, including: SHAUCHA: Purity in thought, speech and action SANTOSHA: Contentment TAPAS: Asceticism (discipline/practice – not overindulging/keeping the heat up) SVADYAYA: Self-study to achieve Self-Realization ISHVARA-PRANIDHANA: Devotion/surrender to God or a Higher Power (or the higher power of you) Hope this helps. If this behavior persists, I would find a new studio.
