Guest guest
When I do poses that require me to grab my big toe I can't handle the pull of my fingers on the toe. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm hoping as my flexibility increases it will be less of an issue. Also, when I do poses that require my foot to rest on my thight (right foot on left thigh or vice versa) like in Ardha Baddha Padma Paschimottanasana, I feel a lot of pain where my foot presses on my thigh. The pain is on the top of my thigh not my foot. Any input?
Guest guest
Hi there John ! I JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW I'VE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PAIN -THAT IS IN BOTH THE TOE AND THE TOP OF THE THIGH I'M NO EXPERT AND NOT PRACTICING YOGA VERY LONG MYSELF BUT I DO BELIEVE WITH PRACTICE AND INCREASED STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY THE TOE THING WILL BE RESOLVED- THAT IS AS YOU BEGIN TO IMPROVE AT WHATEVER POSE IT IS YOU FEEL THE PAIN IN AGAIN WITH THE THIGH ITS PROBABLY HOW YOU'RE POSITIONED AGAIN I BELIEVE AS YOUR PRACTICE IMPROVES SO WILL THE PAIN YOU EXPERIENCE WELL THATS WHAT I TELL MYSELF BUT IF YOU'VE FOUND A MORE EDUCATED REASON FOR THESE WILL YOU PLEASE SEND THE INFO TO ME TOO ? HOPING TO HEAR FROM YOU REGUARDS --GB--
Guest guest
Thanks. From what I've been reading I am convinced that it is a combination of poor position, lack of flexibility and a mater of getting used to it. ps: just wanted to let you know that typing in all CAPITAL letters is something that bugs some people (I'm not complaining and it doesn't bug me). I think they equate it to yelling. ashtanga yoga, "lananh200004" <lananh200004> wrote: > Hi there John ! > I JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW I'VE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PAIN -THAT IS IN > BOTH THE TOE AND THE TOP OF THE THIGH > I'M NO EXPERT AND NOT PRACTICING YOGA VERY LONG MYSELF BUT I DO > BELIEVE WITH PRACTICE AND INCREASED STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY THE TOE > THING WILL BE RESOLVED- THAT IS AS YOU BEGIN TO IMPROVE AT WHATEVER > POSE IT IS YOU FEEL THE PAIN IN > AGAIN WITH THE THIGH ITS PROBABLY HOW YOU'RE POSITIONED AGAIN I > BELIEVE AS YOUR PRACTICE IMPROVES SO WILL THE PAIN YOU EXPERIENCE > WELL THATS WHAT I TELL MYSELF BUT IF YOU'VE FOUND A MORE EDUCATED > REASON FOR THESE WILL YOU PLEASE SEND THE INFO TO ME TOO ? > HOPING TO HEAR FROM YOU > REGUARDS --GB--
