Guest guest
My quick two cents worth about the knee pain. You should concentrate on opening up your hips more before taking lotus. I used to have similar pain, which has subsided. I think the most important thing is to remember that the movement in lotus should originate from the hips and not the knees or the ankles. It sounds like you might be underrotating your hips and over rotating your knees. Which kills. check out this article its very helpful. http://www.yogajournal.com/teacher/978_1.cfm
