It's just like a condensed yoga session after all! Trying it is discovering if it worths it! It is said that doing it 2 times a day, everyday, can lenghten you life by many tens of years! As to mix styles... I don't believe there are things you really can't mix... If you always keep an objective view as that when you do the rites, you don't half do yoga, half do rites... It's just like a reiki healer how goes on a vipassana retreat... it's very bad to do reiki in a vipassana retreat... because you don't concentrate on what you're supposed to do and you disturb other, and play with profound consciousness, it can be dangereous... but there's no problem doing both in your life!!!
