Hi Jess, my ex boss had caesarean for her 1st pregnancy, and told me

that her physio doctor advised her against any exercise that requires

"core muscle movement" which Ashtanga is one of them. Your Core

muscles in your abs region as well as more delicate muscles have to get

back to normal through more gentle exercise first before to Heal and

Recover. around a month or two, depending on your recovery speed, you

will be able to do "Pilates" exercise which focus on your coreability -

which will greatly help your yoga practice without making your back

hurt or feeling awkward. Patience required, but at this point in time

with a baby in your life, I would encourage you not to hurt any part of

your body. I strongly recommend post natal Pilates, a good teacher will

be able to guide you well through post birth time. Good Luck! S
