Guest guest
Hi Jess, my ex boss had caesarean for her 1st pregnancy, and told me that her physio doctor advised her against any exercise that requires "core muscle movement" which Ashtanga is one of them. Your Core muscles in your abs region as well as more delicate muscles have to get back to normal through more gentle exercise first before to Heal and Recover. around a month or two, depending on your recovery speed, you will be able to do "Pilates" exercise which focus on your coreability - which will greatly help your yoga practice without making your back hurt or feeling awkward. Patience required, but at this point in time with a baby in your life, I would encourage you not to hurt any part of your body. I strongly recommend post natal Pilates, a good teacher will be able to guide you well through post birth time. Good Luck!
