Has anybody got any tips/info on keeping your mat clean to avoid all sorts of infections/bacterias etc. How often should your mat be cleaned. Guest guest Posted May 24, 2005 Report Share Posted May 24, 2005 I have a friend who makes a couple of products for cleaning and disinfecting yoga mats. Her company is called New Moon Naturals. I've used both products for a couple of years and my mats are still in great shape so I feel like I can recommend them. I don't have any business relationship with them - they are just acquaintences: http://www.newmoonnaturals.net Look for a section called My Yoga Ritual products. There is a daily spray and a wash. On the other hand - althopugh I personally wouldn't recommend it, I have a friend who washes her mat in a regular clothes washing machine. It doesn't sound like a great idea to me but whatever works!
