Guest guest
Hi Derek Just expressing my opinion based on my daily practice, now going on 3 1/2 years. As my body becomes lighter and stronger I notice I need less sleep. My workload at my profession has increased (more responsibility). I still wake up at 4:00am, prepare for the day and do ashtanga before work. The practice is not smooth every day. On days where the previous day had extra stress at work, my practice is jumpy and distracted, but I keep doing it. So, is two days a week enough? Probably not. In the words of Beryl Bender Birch, "do you know what happens if you only come here and practice once a week? Nothing." Of course, some yoga is better than no yoga. At times of emergencies, or intense travel, I've been told Guruji said this, one should do at least the first 6 standing poses and the last 3 closing poses. Is that enough?
