RE: is two days a week enough?

To the person who asked a couple of issues back if practicing two days a

week is enough, I have to ask back, enough for what? :)

To maintain and progress a yoga practice, it's important to practice every

day, even if just a bit. To reduce stress and find an oasis in the midst of

chaos and confusion, it's important to practice every day ...

In times of travel or tight scheduling, I have found invaluable David

Swenson's "Short Forms," a series of 15-min., 30 min., and 45 min.

practices. "Short Forms" can be found in the back of his "The Practice

Manual," a comprehensive, very visual Ashtanga manual that includes Primary

and Secondary series as well. Or you can order three laminated cards, one

for Primary, one for Secondary and one for the Short Forms, from Swenson's

web site for only nine bucks (dollars).

Hope this helps, and good luck with your practice.

PS: Is anyone from this list taking teacher training with Tim Miller

starting tomorrow?

PPS: Matias Flury is giving a demo, and a weekend-long workshop in La Jolla

coming up. He's an incredible practitioner, a wonderful teacher and a sweet

person. (He's one of the few earthlings past Advanced "B" series, not that

that's so important, but it makes for a fascinating demo!) As I'm new to the

list, I'm not sure if it's okay to post more info on the workshop here, but

I'll be happy to if it's allowed. I'm not affiliated in any way with the

studio or Matias (except to be his very grateful student when I'm in Costa

Rica or he's in Calif.).
