Guest guest
Hi Mart, Many thanks for your reply! It helps me a lot. You see I am doing a multilingual terminology on yoga and I got a bit confused when trying to sort out the different styles and variations. I am practicing yoga every day but not Ashtanga. My program is a hatha flow style. /Cecilia "mart ..." <martw77 skrev: ... hi Cecilia... astanga vinyasa yoga is the same as astanga yoga... its just sometimes its called astanga vinyasa yoga... astanga uses a technique called vinyasa to link the different postures together... basically vinyasa is the marriage of breath and movement (between asanas) creating an uninterrupted flow... power yoga (to the best of my knowledge) is an 'excersise routine' that was derived from astanga... it is not traditional yoga.. but as i have never practiced power yoga i welcome anyone with experience to correct me... i hope this helps... mart. >Cecilia Broman <cecilia_broman >ashtanga yoga >ashtanga yoga >SV: ashtanga yoga Ashtanga Yoga styles or variations >Mon, 13 Jun 2005 11:37:52 +0200 (CEST) > > > > >Hi! > >I am wondering if someone could help me explaining what the different >Ashtanga Yoga styles are?
