Guest guest
First off, Tina, have a wonderful training with Tim & be sure to tell us all about it. I'm working on standing up from urdhva danurasana & the trickiest part seems to be getting enough weight in the legs, not the arms. In the Mysore classes I've attended, the instructor has me do 5 backbends on my own (not standing up) then spots me, while I drop back three times, then go back halfway 3 times with hands crossed on chest and finally dropping back again all of the way, walking the feet in and grabbing ahold of the ankles, before assisting me up. This seems like it's a prescribed sequence, as I've sen him spot others with this same sequence. Does anyone know if there is a particular way that Guruji teaches this and/or introduces standing up/dropbacks? Thanks! --Megan
