Personally, I wouldn't bother taking a towel to India - 'Coals to

Newcastle' come to mind (or is that a too Brtish saying) - anyway,

there are enough towels in India freely available. Also

medications ... the anti-Diarrhea (sp?) medications can have

unpleasant effects for days, up to 7 or even 10 days in my personal

experience. Best to let things work their way through without

things that bung you up. Also painkillers are very freely available

over the counter.

In my experience, the one thing to make sure you pack is a torch -

of course you can buy them there, but there is never a shop open

when you need a torch! Also, sandals which fit - again, you can but

them there but there is nothing worse than having to break in a pair

of new sandals when you want to wear them all the time.

Have a good trip,

Towel was for a dash of humor - Douglas Adams of "Hitch Hiker's Guide

to Galaxy" proves and highly recommends a towel as the single most

important thing anyone would need when travelling:-)) And I second

him:-)
