Guest guest Posted October 17, 2005 Report Share Posted October 17, 2005 you should try to book ahead for a night of two... www.thekevinn.com...is a 5 minute walk to the shala or the green hotel....a 12 minute rick shaw ride to the shala. you should ask for shiva...he is the local and well liked and loved realtor to the yoga student. his house a just down the road----about 5 houses from the shala. he will help you find a house or a room in a house to rent. in regards to who else to study with.... ajay---great young man who was shasadri's student--ashtanga shasadri--ashtanga--in lakshmipuram---area where the old shala once was venkatesh---in saraswatipuram--another suburb of mysore..not far you will be fine..... it will be great. enjoy your time also on another note....a great man to be in contact with is krishna the rick shaw driver. you can call him to pick you up from ther airport. spend a day travelling with him around mysore for 5 dollars a day..........his presence is a welcomed treat. he is one of the regulars that hang outside of the shala. well liked and loved. give him a ring or send him an e-mail. tell him dorion sent you.... krishnamysore2003 p.s.. i cannot find his number right now. As I'm planning to there too in Jan to May, and I don't see any notice of this in their w-site, so I'm very concern about this. please let me know. A friend currently in Mysore told me this so if it wrong I too would be happy to know! but apparently it has just been anounced so is not yet on the website.
