Guest guest
Dixie, You'll just have to move closer to Encinitas; Tim Miller offers daily Mysore as well as a variety of led classes throughout the week. Many people actually relocate to Encinitas or the surrounding beach communities in our "North County" just to be close to Tim. Actually, his Ashtanga Yoga Center's moving a bit further north, to a community called Leucadia/Carlsbad, within the next three months; they'll be building a new studio from scratch. That's a longer drive for me, living down near Ocean Beach, near Downtown San Diego, but it's worth it to me to be able to study on an almost daily basis with one of the great Master teachers of our practice. I'm trying to talk one of my friends into offering daily Mysore at his studio closer to San Diego; I'll keep you posted. Dixie, where do you practice in LA? I head up there to see friends once in awhile and it'd be good to have your recommendation. Guest guest
Hi Tina Thanks for the info. I know Tim and am familiar with the North County area. I lived in Oceanside for many years. Please talk your friend into teaching daily!!! Seriously- the lack of yoga in downtown is going to keep me from moving back to SD. I practice under Heather Duplex here in LA. SHe teaches at yoga works and just got [authorized] by Guruji this summer. She is awesome and very traditional and very strict. I love it. Thanks, dixie- (not my real name)
Guest guest
Tina and anyone else with San Diego Ashtanga connections: I would be willing to open a studio if there were teachers available. If you know anyone spread the word. I can't stay in LA and don't know what to do. dixie dixiemoonshine
