Guest guest
I need to take my dad on vacation to somewhere tropical this winter, and want to go somewhere there's ashtanga for me. Any suggestions? He's more of a luxury/lie on the beach vacationer. No huts. Not a retreat, just an island or something with a studio on it. Guest guest
Purple Valley Retreat in Goa would be perfect for you both. Check it out at www.yogagoa.com Matthew Sweeney is starting a two week workshop on 7th January, if that is not too soon for you. The weather is cool at night right now as it is the middle of the winter, but reaches about 30 degrees in daytime, once the sun gets up. And it is all very tropical and lovely. Easy connections from Europe direct to Goa (by charter flight) See www.goaway.co.uk There is accommodation and shala at one location, which is about 3kms from the sea. (You wouldn't want to be nearer as the beach area can be noisy, but where Purple Valley is located is a nice quiet area, but its quick and easy to get to the beaches.) Food is all vegetarian and cooked fresh on site. Ten classes a week, meals and accommodation, and airport transfers are included in the price, and if you email theresa_appleby (she is the Director) she will give you a price for your Dad if he is not doing classes. Any questions, just ask, Best wishes, Annie (I am the retired ex-Director and Founder of PV) ashtanga yoga, "itinerantyogi" <omlaura@h...> wrote: > > I need to take my dad on vacation to somewhere tropical this winter, > and want to go somewhere there's ashtanga for me. Guest guest
Why don´t you come to Rio de Janeiro? It is very warm the whole year long, beautiful and you'll find lots of Ashtanga studios here. Including Nirvana (www.enirvana.com.br) where you can find the only authorized teacher in Brazil, Matthew Vollmer. He´s also at a workshop at Trancoso- Bahia this january. His personal webpage is http://www.astangaspirit.com/ Namaste, Anis > > Message: 11 > Thu, 29 Dec 2005 20:04:47 -0000 > "itinerantyogi" > yoga somewhere warm > > I need to take my dad on vacation to somewhere tropical this winter, > and want to go somewhere there's ashtanga for me.
