Bangalore airport to Mysore

the first time I went to Mysore, I was alone and arrived at about 1am

(I think).

As soon as you come out of the baggage claim and before you exit the

airport, you can book

a pre-paid taxi. Last week, the price was 1900 rupees (prices have

risen).

 

If you are feeling more adventurous, I love taking the train down.

Get a pre-paid taxi

to the train station (it's too long of a ride for a rickshaw in my

opinion - not very comfortable).

The morning trains shouldn't be too full. If it's later in the day

or you are traveling during a

busy period, I guess I would take the car. .... wouldn't want to

fight the crowds with lots

of luggage!

 

You can also book a car ahead of time (through Shiva, Krishna, ....)

and have someone waiting for you at the airport, but

I'm not sure it's very necessary unless you get a better price.
