While this is an Ashtanga group several of them are links to chanting and meditation, which are both an important part of "Yoga Mind", and can be incorporated into Asana practice, in much the same way that Pranyama can be. This means that there is no quality to the Asana, and most of the good that they can do is lost. This is where an instructor is a valuable in helping a Yogi get the most out of a practice, and also avoid harming themselves. So before exerting a lot of force in an Asana remember "If it hurts, Stop", and "If you can't breath fully, then you are in to deep".
