Guest guest
A) Have a towel handy to quicky wipe your back before Chakrasana. B) Bend your knees up with feet on floor instead of laying flat on ground as going into Chakrasana; this will press your lower back down instead of having it arched, maybe will alleviate the noise. Not sure if those will work, never experienced the problem, but thank you for bringing it to my attention because it may come in handy for my students someday if they have the problem. I don't mean a real fart!... but as air is sucked in or compressed between the small of your back and the mat...especially if you are sweaty. I've started getting very self conscious about this... to the point where I sometimes don't do Chakrasana anymore.. especially if there are loads of people in the class too! Guest guest
Fractionater, Here are a few suggestions.... When you know the noise is about to come, cough loudly, or look seriously at the guy beside you (girls never fart) Another suggestion would be to attach a little straw to the small of your back so that the pressure can equalise. Or....another waqy of looking at it, is that it is a goood way to lighten up the room and can make a nice talk piece wit the ladies afterward. Guest guest
Hello, I know what you are talking about. It happened to me and everyone around me thought I was farting in class. I used a hand towel under my back. And problem solved. The concept of "sweaty back farts" is same as that of "real farts".
