HER radiance is compared to rising Sun because it brilliant and beautiful, but not blinding. The number sahasra koTi ( 10 billions) indicate that in magnitude it cannot be compared. She is brilliant but not blinding because She wants Her children to look at Her glory. She shines, in fact She alone shines. In Her great presence, the Sun shines not, nor does the Moon, not even the stars, lightning or fire, everything else shines because She shines, and their radiance is borrowed from Her (refer to the shruti, na tatra sUryo bhAti na chandra tArakam.h nemo vidyuto bhAnti kutoyaM agniH, tvameva bhAnta anubhAti sarvaM, tasya bhAsa sarvaM idaM vibhAti). This term explains the true aspect of ambaaL as brahman.
