It is like the village folks (graamiiNa jantuH) looking at fashionable city people (paura janeShu) with wonder and amazement. Even if pulled away by force (aakR^iShyamaaNapi), my heart (me hR^idayaM) will not go (na yaatii) to others (anyatra) leaving your lotus feet (bhavadhiiya padaaravindaat). In this verse shrI diikShita pledges his loyalty to ambaaL. His sense of observation and humor sparks in his remark of how some ignorant village folks feel towards city bred fashions (which is true even today).
