I have just sent the blank message as reply to the invitation message. Just a few words to introduce myself. I retired, in 1988, as professor of mathematics and Deputy Director of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) , Pilani, Rajasthan. Since 1988, I am settled in Madras. In between from 94 to 97 I had been of KK Birla Academy in Delhi. I am now visiting my children in the U.S. for the past one year. Right now I am with my son in Portland, OR. I belong to Bhaskararayapuram in Tanjore District. I was educated in Cuddalore, Kumbakonam, Trichinopoly and Annamalainagar (M.A. of Madras aand PhD. of Annamalai) I have taught at Thiagarajar College, Madurai, at Annamalai University, at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, at BITS, at the Univrsity of Delaware, Newark, DE and again at BITS. My father R. Visvanatha Sastri (1882-1956) was in the judicial department. He was a great advaitic scholar, most close to the Paramacharya, has given hundreds of lectures on scriptures, written several original manuscripts and I had the good fortune of having been taught by him in my childhood. Whatever I am in the area of spirituality it can be traced back to him. I am the author of Essentials of Hinduism (foreword by Swami Chinmayananda); Hinduism for the next Generation; and The Ten Commandments of Hinduism (foreword by Swami Paramarthananda) Two books of mine:namely, Science and Spirituality - a vedanta perception; Gems from the Ocean of Hindu Thought, Vision and Practice; are on the web at the address: http://www.geocities.com/profvk/ I look forward to a possible useful participation in the list. Thank you. Regards and praNAms to all devotees of ambAL. Yours Prof. V. Krishnamurthy ===== Prof. V. Krishnamurthy The URL of my website has been simplified as http://www.geocities.com/profvk/ You can access both my books from there. Re: (fwd) Bid and sell for free at http://auctions.
