Guest guest
Let me add my two cents to thoughts on the rendering of Sahsaramanam. I have listened to the Bombay Sisters rendering of the Sahasramanam and in my opinion, the rendering of the disciples of "a" Sage (I am embarassed that I cannot remember the name., it is not Periyaval or Maha Periyavaal) of the Kanch Matham (he bears the suffix of "Saraswathi") is superior. In their rendering, they have split the Sahasranamam into 10 parts for each of the 100 names and set it to a different raga. It is quite nice and the pronunciation of the different visargahas' are good. There is a good rendering of the Trhishati as well. It ends with a beautiful rendering of a Dishsithar Kriti. I will make full details available tomorrow. I got it from a friend who requested a donation to the non-profit organization which puts it together in India.
