Guest guest
Bhakti is the practice of giving without asking and is also self surrender for the purpose of eventually identifying with the source of love or the higher SELF. Every action with Bhakti is done to serve the beloved one. Shankara defines Bhakti as the contemplative living in one’s natural state -stateless state or the divine state. The divine state implies an equanimous view of every being in the world. Every being in the world becomes the mirror reflection of the SELF and the devotee at that state experiences the Bliss. This divine state can’t be attained through studies or scholarship and is a state enjoyable internally without an iota of influence from external objects. It is the divine perception of equanimity that sprouts forth with Divine Grace. With true Bhakti, the Bhakta is able to see the godliness of infinite love by the total surrender of ego. Ambaa signifies the absolute godliness of infinite love and greater devotion toward ambaa is to request Her Grace. The Bhakta learns the art of giving from Ambaa to practice and adopt to the Bhakti Yoga to experience the ultimate reality. -- Ram Chandran Burke, VA
