Guest guest
Om Sri Mathayee! Dear Devotees: I have been reading with enchantment the postings on Bhakti by the members of the group as well beautiful poetry by Madhava. When I first saw the posting on Bhakti, I was reminded of the Sri Ramakrishna saying that "'Bhakti' is the personal relationship of man with God". In this sense, each person has his or her own form of Bhakthi and consequently his or her own Ista Devatha. Perhaps this is also the reason why Divine Mother appears in several forms such as Bala and Kali and many many more. We do hear different forms of devotion in our scriptures by Sabhari, Avvaiyar, Nandanar, Kannappa Nainar and others. Whenever I want to be uplifted on Bhakti, I read about and listen to the story of Nandanaar and his journey to Thirupundoor. Thiru Muruga Kripananda Variar has an excellent rendition of this story in two cassettes that I highly recommend. thanks for all the wonderful contributions. Every time, I read the postings, I feel like thanking Ravi for starting this group. So, many many thanks to everyone for the bhakti towards the group.
