Guest guest
karma tyajema yadi nuunamadhaH patema yadyaacarema na kadaapi bhavaM tarema. karma tyajediti carediti ca pravR^ittaa bhaavena kena nigamaa iti na pratiimaH ..18.. in a split form: karma tyajema yadi nuunam.h adhaH patema yadi aacarema na kadaapi bhavaM tarema. karma tyajet.h iti caret.h iti ca pravR^ittaaH bhaavena kena nigamaaH iti na pratiimaH ..18.. If one abandoms karma (karma yadi tyajema), then the fall is certain (nuunam.h adhaH patema). On the other hand if observes it (yadi aacarema) at any time (kadaapi) it is not possible cross the ocean of saMsara (bhavaM na tarema). In what sense (kena bhavena) vedas say ( nimgamaaH pravR^ittaaH) to abandon the karma (karma tyajet.h iti) and also to follow it (caret.h iti ca), I do not understand (na pratiimaH). The question of nishkaamya karma is addressed in the next verse. -- Swami Vishwarupananda and Ravi
