Guest guest
This is the fifth name in the miinaaxii ashhTottaram. shuka means parrot. Hence, this name means SHE is fond of parrot. What does the parrot in this name signify? It can signify naada (music/sound) then it means SHE is fond of worship through music (naadopaasana). SHE can be easily pleased using naadopaasana. Essence of all naada is AUM and AUM is HER symbol as the iishwarii of this jagat. Through meditation on AUM which is most pleasing to HER, one can worship and realize HER. Or the parrot can signify veda-s. SHE delights in hearing the vedic chants and the veda-s delight in praising HER. Or word shuka can denote j~naani-s like Sage shuka and SHE is fond of them. In giita SHE declares (as krishna) that a j~naani is HER own Self and SHE is most pleased and fond of j~naani-s. Similarly, j~naani-s delight in meditating and contemplating on HER. AUM shukapriyaayai namaH Additional thoughts and corrections are welcome.
