This is the 8th name in the miinaaxii ashhTottaram. It echoes the

name madaghuurNitaraktaaxii in the sahasranaama. HER eyes are

rolled inward and absorbed in rapture of HER unfathomable

bliss. madaa is intoxication and here it means the supreme joy of

aatman. ghuurNita is whirling or rolling.

 

Or it can be said that HER eyes can bestow such a state

(intoxicated and absorbed in the bliss of aatman) to HER devotees

out of HER boundless grace.
