Guest guest
This is the thirteenth name in the miinaaxii ashhTottaram. shivaa is the feminine form of shiva. It means auspicious. SHE is the most auspicious one (maNgaLaanam cha maNgaLam). SHE bestows auspiciousness on HER devotees. What is auspicious? That which leads to truth and liberation, which is the ultimate good is the most auspicious. SHE is that. shivaa is the consort of Lord shiva. SHE is HIS shaktii. They are not different from each other. They are one and same. Like light and its radiance, fire and heat, etc. There is oneness is exemplified very beautifully by the form of ardhanaariishvara. In the stotram on ardhanaarishwara bhagawan shrii shankara salutes the divine couple with this very beautiful and auspicious name, namaH shivaayai cha namaH shivaaya. AUM shivaayai namaH
