Guest guest
karmaNyakarmavidhireSa yadaacaranti karmaaNi tattadanubandhajihaasayeti . satyaM tathaapyabhinavo bhavitaa na bandhaH paaciinabandhaharaNe ka ivaabhyupaayaH ..19.. In a split form: karmaNi akarma-vidhiH eSa yat.h aacaranti karmaaNi tattad-anubandha-jihaasayaa iti . satyaM tathaapi abhinavaH bhavitaa na bandhaH praaciina-bandha-haraNe kaH iva abhyupaayaH ..19.. If they do (yat.h aacaranti) the karma-s (karmaaNi) without any attachment to their fruits (tattad-anubandha-jihaasayaa), then this (eShaH) karma maarga (karmaNi) is not tainted by its effects (akarma-vidhiH). Even then (tathaapi), only new (abhinavaH) bonds (bandhaH) are not going to be formed (na bhavitaa), however, what is the (kaH iva) way to (abhyupaayaH) destroy the effects of karma performed prior to this (praaciina-bandha-haraNe)? karma-marga does not resolve the effect of karma-s done in the past. All it can do at the best is to help one from getting new bonds. In the next verse, shrI dIkshita indicates how frutsrating it is to someone who wants liberation in this birth itself.
