Guest guest
This name means SHE is the supreme godess. This name reflects the sentiments of maheshii, maaheshvarii and maheshvarii of sahasranaama. maheshwara is the aspect of iishwara who destroys the universe and SHE is His consort. SHE is celebrated as maheshvara mahAkalpa mahAtANDava sAkShiNI in sahasranaama. At the end of praLayam only shiva-shakti remain and all else is destroyed. SHE stands as a witness to end of the cycle. In saundaryalaharii shankara says that it is due to HER paativratyam, shiva remains after the end of this cycle.
