Guest guest
SHE is four-armed. Sahasranaama celebrates HER as chaturbaahusamanvitaa. Traditionally, SHE has paasha, ankusha, sugarcane bow and flower arrows. But some forms show varada and abhaya mudras instead of the latter two. When meditated as baalambika, SHE has pustaka, japamaala, vara and abhaya mudras. The more number of arms indicate that SHE takes care of many things like creation, sustenance, and destruction. The number 4 can have many other implications like 4 veda-s, 4 ashramas, 4 varna-s, 4 purushhaartha-s, and so on.
