Guest guest
>> i want to know what does anga devata, upanga devata and pratyanga devata mean and their importance.<< Anga Devatas are the devatas that make the main angas or limbs or the diety. Upangas are secondary limbs such as the extremes and pratyangas are even more external limbs such as the fingers attached to the extremes. >> i read that navakshari Bala Tripura Sundari is anga devata ,Annapoorneswari as upanga devata and Asvaroodaamba as pratyanga devatas of Sri Lalitamahatripurasundari.<< Yes, what this all has to mean is that they all are parts of her such as the limbs/organs, extremes and their attachments are parts of the body. Thus they form greater and lesser parts or aspects of Tripurasundari. This is how it was explained to me by Kamakoti Shastri, mirasdar of Kanchi Kamakshi Temple.
