Shiva took the form of a nurse (maatru bhuteshwara) to help his devote. Devi came to see his skill. He was perfect in all aspects but for his kesha. He being harikesha or jaTaadhara did not get the fragrance that devi had. Hence she is ‘sugandhi kuntaLaa’ or ‘suveNi’. ‘aLiveNi’ is another common usage. Guest guest
SHE has beautiful tresses. The term veNi also means river. SHE is the basis of the deities of the rivers like ganga, yamuna, and so on. Also, like the rivers nourish and sustain life, SHE sustains all life in this cosmos. Hence, SHE is called suveNii. AUM suveNyai namaH Corrections and comments are welcome. Talk to your friends online with Messenger. http://im.
