Guest guest
Dear Satish, I am perhaps most unfit to write in this learned net- but your emails regd whether 'sudras' can chant the Mother's names force me to speak out of faith and sorrow. Our Mother , The Divine Mother is called 'Avyaja Karuna Moorthi'- the One of Unconditional Mercy- She is also called 'Abaalagopavidhita'- accessible even to the cowherd and the child- in fact it is to these types thatShe is more accessible- only simple child like people gain access to Her who is Innocence and Love itself. There are any number of stories of how simple unlettered bhaktas of all castes attained God through Love alone- Kannappa, Sabari, kanakadas, Ravidas, Kabir, jataayu, Meera, the Gopis, Ramprasad,Shyama Mata, Saint Francis of Assisi, .... ..... and more recently Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Ramdas.. and my own Beloved Guru Ammachi. Amma my Mother is accessible by Love alone. She looks only at your heart, only at your yearning and sincerity. My guru Ammachi Herself was born in a fishing caste, and used to cry for The Divine Mother every day- No one initiated Her into the Panchadasi, no one taught Her the sahasranama , no one taught her the dasa maha vidyaas or the Sri Vidya or the secrets of the SriChakra. Everyday She used to cry for Devi -' Amma . Amma, Amma' was her only mantra. She was thrown out of her house by her own parents- she used to still cry for Devi- she had nothing to offer the Divine Mother except her heartfelt yearning and intense longing- and she attained Her glorious vision and Unity. Sri Ramakrishna , even though he was later on initiated into various practices, originally had a vaison of the Mother through intense Love alone. My Divine Mother looks only at one's heart. If you chant Her sahasranams with Love She is not going to worry about anything else. In fact a single cry 'Amma' with love from our hearts goes farther than crores of japas and pujas done with ego. The brahmin pundits of brindavan could not recognize Sri Krishna but the gopis did... Ammachi is very emphatic about this. She categorically states that all persons can chant the Lalitha Sahasranama and that Ambaal looks only at one's heart and devotion. The words of Self Realized Masters have to be taken as equal to Scriptures- in fact arent the scriptures themselves the revelations gained by Rishis? In that case, Ammachi's statement has to be given tremendous respect- if She says everyone can chant the sahasranama and that the Divine Mother looks only at the sincerity of the aspirant- then that is enough for me. Regardless of who you are or what you may have done, you are a child of The Divine Mother. Amma can never forsake you- the Infinite Mother is omnipotent in all respects except this one- She CANNOT forsake Her children- Her Love is greater than anything else. When such is the case , why worry about caste and creed and other narrow considerations? Her infinte Mercy and Her Infinite Heart are too large to be broken up by these narrow man made walls. Love alone is Her mantra, Love alone is Her puja and Love alone is Her yantra. Where there is Love there She is. If we chant Her names with Love, and imagine Her in any form that pleases us - Durga , Kali, Lalithamba, Rajarajeswari, ....Krishna, Jesus or Rama ...or the lotus feet of a SatGuru... and we chant Her names and practice Her service- by serving all beings with love- if we do the Inner Puja- cleansing our hearts of ego and lust and anger and pride- and if we do the inner Arati- burning our ego in the flame of Love- that is the greatest Vidya and that is the Greatest Tantra. May our hearts blossom with Her Love, Jai Ma bala ____
