Guest guest
SHE shines with splendour like a blue lily (niilotpala). The deep blue color of ambaaL indicates HER identity with Lord Krishna. Often the eyes of a women are compared to niilotpala flower. In one of kalidaasa's poetry, the king asks have you seen a flower blossoming in a flower. To this the poet replies that the face of a woman is a lotus flower and her eyes are like niilotpala. We can also take this name to mean that HER eyes shine like the niilotpala flower. Guest guest
Dear Upasakas, I am pained to find that a number of upasakas are making money by selling mantra, yantra and tantra, which is totally prohibited under the Devi worship. I know several upasakas claiming to be too bring pay and advertise in Gnanabhoomi, Anmeekam etc., claiming false results and misguiding the people. >From the very beginning my guru would say that I should not sell mantra, yantra and tantra which I am strictly following. Can we not join together and take steps to put an end to this malpractice who rob people for their own comforts. S.SANGARANARAYANAN >"Ravisankar S. The Tamil poet KaaLamEgam has also composed a verse to this effect. It goes something like this, 'muNdagaththil mulzhu niilam puuththathuNdu; kaNdadhuNdu kEttadhillai kaaN'. muNdagam is the lotus. He was a Vishnu temple cook who was blessed by Devi AkhilaaNdEshwai of Thiru Aanaikkaa. AkhilaaNdEshwari is MahaVaaraahi @ DanTiNii @ Dantanaatha.
