Guest guest
SHE possesses all the auspicious marks (laxma), hence, SHE is called laxmii. The ananta koDi kalyaNa guNa-s of ambaaL who is kalyaaNa guNa shaalinii, makes HER the abode of all auspicious marks. This name can also mean HER identity with mahaalaxmii. sahasranaama salutes HER as mahaalaxmii and ramaa indicating this. According to siva puraaNa, ambaaL seated on the lap of maheshvara is known as mahaalaxmii. It should be noted that shriikaNThaacharya (shiva-vishishTaadvaita) interprets the shrii suktam in a shaiva style, equating the deity described in the suuktam with umaa (gaurii). According dhaumya smriti, a girl of age 13 is called mahaalaxmii*. AUM laxmyai namaH * (I am not sure about the number 13, If it is wrong I will clarify this later).
