Guest guest
Another text I have gives the 49th name as sarvaranjanii instead of sarva~njaa. The name ra~njanii also comes in the sahasranaama. sarva ranjanii means SHE who delights all. Since SHE is bliss, she delights all. Every being in this cosmos seeka happiness, in one form or other. But the worldly happiness comes with its share of pain. But the joy of God, which is bliss, has no duality to it and it is pure unalloyed joy. The barrier of avidya prevents us from realizing our true nature which is joy. Like a mullah who lost his money somewhere in the dark but searches for it elsewhere where it is bright; not knowing our true nature we seek joy else where. Even the iota of happiness we get in mundane things is possible because of HER. Commenting on the name kalyaaNii, shankara says: "kalyANam means AnandA or bliss. A series of this, from yuva sArva bhaumAnAnda to brahmAnAnda are enumerated in taittrIyopanishhad. etasyai Anandasya anyAni bhUtAni mAtra upajIvanti. Depending on a speck of HER bliss all the creatures exist. ..." AUM sarvara~njanyai namaH
