Guest guest
---------------- Dear Sri Ravi, Namasthe. Thanks for your mail. I am sorry for the delay in replying. I am an ex-Manager of Canara Bank, Bangalore now working in Saudi French Bank, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in their Computer Department. ( Age : 48) I am devotee of Shri Lalitha Maha Tripurasundari. I try to remember the Shri Maathaa to the extent possible every day by the paraayanam of her sthothrams Saundarya Lahari, Sri Lalithaa Sahasranamam, Sri Lalitha Thrisathi, Sri Abhirami Andhadhi, Sri Lalitha Pancharathnam, Sri Durga Sooktham, Saptha Sloki, Sri Sooktham, etc. and also Sri Rudram and Pursha Sooktham etc. I am also a devotee of Sri Paramacharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, whose discourses ( as edited by Sri Ra. Ganapathy in "Dheivathin Kural" - ( The voice of God - published by Vanathi Publications)) transformed my life. Sri Paramacharya's exposition on Saundarya Lahari in more than 500 pages (in Book 6 of the series ) explaining in detail - sloka by sloka - inspired me to perform the paraayanam of Saundarya Lahari and in general made me HER devotee. Again inspired by the great Acharya, I am trying to support the causes of the VEDA RAKSHANA NIDHI TRUST ( at 12, Govindhu Street, T. Nagar, Chennai 17 ), which was started by the Acharya 30 years back, to preserve the Sanathana Oral Gurukula Tradition of Veda Adhyayanam / Adhyapanam and to preserve at least the remaining Shakhas of the holy Vedas from extinction . They are doing excellent work in supporting the Veda Patasalas, examining and awarding titles/ scholarships to the students, but their funds are very limited ( as they do not advertise their activities at all and never ask anybody for funds). They are just managing with whatever funds come, on their own, spread by the word of mouth. I am currently trying to arrange and organize a website for them. I am searching the WWW now trying to find like-minded individuals and groups interested in serving the cause of Veda Rakshanam, so that the treasure of the Vedas is not lost out slowly for the humanity. I am thrilled by the devotion of the members of your group . Will it be possible to know who are all the members and their interests ? I am sure you have a good database of your members. Today, I saw the site of Sri. Hariharan Sivadasa and was astonished to find his devotion. My interest to find out more about other members has increased after this. I found your site quite late. It appears that it is not much linked to many other prominent Hindu sites. I am yet to pick up the ITRANS script, but I am comfortable with Devnagari script, and have the sthothra books ( either from Ramakrishna Ashram or the Giri Trading Agency ) with both Tamil and/ or Devanagari Scripts, containing most of the important Devi Sthuthi. Namasthe to all the members of your revered group. With warm regards and thanks to you and Swamiji, for being instrumental in carrying on this noble task of spreading the devotion to Shri Maathaa. Yours sincerely, K. Kameshwaran P.S : This appears to be too much of an auto-biography. Please edit it suitably, if you deem it fit. I request you to feature a page on the site on the slokam 27 " Japo Jalpa Shilpam" of the Saundarya Lahari whenever possible and also probably the very first sloka " Shiva Shakthya Yuktho" sometime.
